Art Materials & Gemstones

Being mainly an Oil painter, Dilcia Cardoso, has her working table set up with oil painting materials. From paints, to glass palette, paintbrushes, drawing pencils and soft pastels, to linseed oil and tons of containers and small ceramic bowls.

Other materials like acrylics, watercolors, ink and oil pastels are kept separately and only brought to the main working table when it is time to do an underpainting or sketch.

Most sketchbooks and diaries are kept in the sitting area. The Meditation Altar has never been shown by the Artist before, as it is a very private space and only the Collectors who buy artworks directly from the studio gets to see it. There the Artist keep most of her crystals, gemstones, incense and candles (some of which have been shown in her social media as she brings them to the main working area a few times).

When painting, Dilcia Cardoso prefers to listen to Soul, Blues, Jazz and Classic Music, and is at the moment starting to build up a Collection of Vinyl Records.
